The Notebook: Storytelling

The Notebook is my go to movie no matter how many times you watch it, it always tugs at the heart strings. The Notebook is an achingly tender story about enduring the power of love, story of miracles that will stay with you forever. The Notebook was based on the book written by an American novelist Nicholas Sparks, it's a romance movie that was directed by Nick Cassavetes and was debuted on May 20, 2004.  An elderly couple, Duke reading a story to Allie. In the 1940's South Carolina, when a mill worker Noah Calhoun and a rich girl Allie are desperately in love with each other. Allies parents did not approve of Noah because of Noah's lack of wealthy, and they move Allie out of the small town. When Noah goes off to serve in World War II, it seem to mark an end to their love affair. While Noah is fighting a war, Allie becomes involved with another man. But, when Noah return to their small town years later and Allie becomes startled when reading about Noah in the local newsp

Happiness

What is happiness? A word that can be describe in multiple ways and is different for each individual. The statement made by the Psychoanalyst Adam Phillips that, "anyone who could maintain a state of happiness, given the state of the world, is living in a delusion," is very true because no one will always be able to maintain a state of happiness in the world no matter how hard they try. The world we live in today is a complete mess, there is so much chaos. You can try and try to be happy all the time,but things will happen and you will have hard times, eventually it will pass. When something negative is happening to you its hard stay positive and be happy. There are things like having a bad day that is easier to push through it and be happy, but when things happen like losing your job is more difficult to see the happy side in the situation. It's hard to be happy when things like that happen. Also, there are other things like breaking up with someone or getting a divorce

Rumors can have many emotions attached to them hurting many in the path of the rumor because rumors get around so fast now. In Tempe, Arizona and across the country numerous rumors of the deadly crash that involve the self-driving Uber vehicle raises. Why didn't the car brake? Why did the back up driver not brake the car? Why did the lady step out knowing a car was coming? So many questions for so many rumors to circulate. Smith states "This is strongly suggestive of multiple failures of Uber and its system, and its safety driver." (Snopes 2018) In Tempe, Arizona a deadly collision of a women that was crossing the road in a dark area was struck by a self-driving Uber with a human backup driver behind the wheel. Experts say that the self-driving Uber vehicle radar sensors should have spotted a pedestrian and computers should have braked the car to avoid the crash. Ethics

 A ethical dilemma I have experience in life was in high school with my cousin. I'm not the kind of person that likes conflict or wants to cause a conflict between people. Coming from a small school what happens over the weekend catches up with a person quicker than someone would like. One weekend there was a party my cousin wasn't in town to attend, but her boyfriend was in town and was going to attend the party along with many others. The morning after the party everyone was talking about last night, it was very obvious of what had happened last night with my cousin's boyfriend and another girl. Ethical standards that I used for the whole situation according to Velasquez et al making a decisions approach for sensitivity issues. This approach was used when approaching my cousin about the whole situation. Decision making was the big part because I knew that it wasn't my place to get involved in someone relationship and I didn't want to be the one that affected her
